What is an MAU?
Monthly Active Users (MAUs) refer to users who accessed the chat within the last month. If your app offers chat to all users, your Lowkey Chat MAU will correspond to your overall user base. However, if chat is an optional feature, your Lowkey Chat MAU will represent only a portion of your total users.
What happen if I hit my MAU limit?
We will notify you when you're approaching your MAU limit. If you exceed the limit, an overage fee will apply. To avoid extra charges, it's advised to upgrade to the next MAU tier for better discounts when you're nearing the limit.
What is a concurrent connection?
Lowkey calculates peak concurrent connections as the time during the monthly billing period when the highest number of WebSocket connections are active between user devices and the Stream platform.

One user, identified by their user_id, can maintain several active WebSocket connections, such as when logged in on different devices or if an integration problem occurs.

Typically, WebSocket connections are established using the connectUser() function or its corresponding SDK method.
